Boom Shankar Returns Policy

We hope you absolutely love your Boom Shankar purchase—but if it’s not quite right, we’re here to help. Below you’ll find our returns, exchanges, and faulty item policies for Australia, New Zealand, and the USA.



1. General Returns Policy

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be sent back and received by Boom Shankar within 35 days of delivery.

  • Items must be unworn, unwashed, in original condition, with all tags attached.

  • Return postage is covered by Boom Shankar only if the item is faulty.


2. Return Eligibility by Product Type

Full-Priced Items

Australia

  • Online credit (valid for 3 years)

  • Exchange (if stock available) — $10 AUD return postage fee

  • Refund for item(s) only (shipping costs are non-refundable)

New Zealand & USA

  • Online credit (valid for 3 years)

  • Exchange (if stock available) — return postage at customer’s expense

  • Refund for item(s) only (shipping costs are non-refundable)


Sale & Promotional Items

(Includes flash sale styles and discounted promotional stock)

Australia

  • Online credit (valid for 3 years)

  • Exchange (if stock available) — $10 AUD return postage fee

  • Not eligible for refund

New Zealand & USA

  • Online credit (valid for 3 years)

  • Exchange (if stock available) — return postage at customer’s expense

  • Not eligible for refund


Final Sale / Non-Refundable Products

  • No returns, refunds, or credit on items marked FINAL SALE

  • Clearly marked on the product page and at checkout

  • If returned outside ACL criteria (Australia) or our policy (NZ & USA), the item will be sent back to the delivery address at customer’s expense

  • We are not responsible for loss or delay of return-to-sender parcels

  • NZ customers: 15% GST applies to orders under $1000 NZD


3. Incorrect Item Received

We’re truly sorry for any mix-up and want to fix it quickly.

Please email [email protected] with:

  • Full name

  • Order number

  • Delivery address (including country)

  • A brief description of the item received and the item you were meant to receive

We will advise shipping of the original item.You can choose:

  • The correct item (Express Post in Australia, International Express for NZ & USA)

  • Refund

  • Credit note with free shipping code

If the correct item is sold out, we’ll issue a refund.


4. Faulty Items

We’re sorry if your item appears faulty. Even if tags have been removed, you may return it for assessment.

Please contact [email protected] as soon as possible with:

  • Order number

  • Description of the fault

  • Photos if possible

If we require the item returned for inspection, it must arrive within 10 days of contacting us. If deemed faulty, we’ll arrange an exchange or refund.

Note: Many Boom Shankar items are handmade/hand-printed, and variations in colour, print placement, and pattern are part of their unique charm. Fit preferences, minor marks, and natural inconsistencies are not considered faults.

5. Damaged Packages

If your order arrives damaged, please contact [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery with:

  • Photos of the damage (items and packaging)

  • Your order number

We’ll review and arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.


6. Lost Packages

If your package appears lost in transit, contact [email protected] with your:

  • Order number

  • Tracking details if available

We’ll work with the carrier to resolve the issue quickly.


7. How to Submit a Return
